Hey everyone how is it going on this beautiful day. My last post I talked about copper production why its a big deal. Today wanted to touch on 5G and why it might be the next best thing as we advance.

If you been paying attention to the trade war that has happened in the last year between the United States and China you may of heard the word Huewai. Huewai is China’s 5G network they are using as an operating system. What’s so special about 5G you ask? Well 5G seems to much faster 4G and is the right step to advancing into a Artificial intelligent world. For example, Imagine you walk into McDonalds to grab a burger. As you walk in the the door a computer system has face recognition and greets you such as “mourning Tom”, as you proceed to the counter you order your food but, do not pull your wallet out to pay as your information is already saved in a cloud that is linked to your account. You finish your food walk outside and need a taxi but, instead of pulling your phone out you look into a machine that is mounted and call taxi. With facial recognition it calls a taxi for you. The taxi arrives and knows that Tom is his passenger from facial recognition. Tom hops in the taxi and tells him to drive home, which is already saved in Tom’s cloud of information so he does not need to give the taxi driver directions as it could be automatically generated from his cloud. As we advance with AI and technology we may be able to see this, although still far away from this type of technology being implemented we are at the beginning. Beginning of these changes in technology towards these new advances.

So after understanding were heading into new technology, what makes this important? Will we still use mobile services? Yes. However, if you noticed that throughout my example, there was one defining thing that brought this all together… The Network. The network that holds all the cloud information about us. Remember you can set a password on your phone and lock people out of it. So what protects you information when as we advance with quantum computer?. The network you are using will store and hold all your information. So lets consider if Ch1na has Huewai than who will the U.S pick to operate their network. For the record not a financial advisor just thoughts and opinions based on information gathered and observed. Nokia corp. may be the U.S Huewai, which would be huge! Nokia recently signed a deal with NASA to put their 4G LTE on the moon by the end of 2022. This huge step for Nokia as they set up to be the overall communication for future space activities. Nokia just signed a deal with Samsung for a license for innovations in video standards. Nokia is primed to be the leading 5G network provider for all the mobile devices. Remember we are in the beginning of all this which could be years away still.
